Is it permissible to divorce a non-Muslim wife who refuses to stop anilingus after her husband converts to Islam, knowing that she enjoys it?
Anal intercourse with one's wife is a heinous and repulsive act that the husband must not revert to. He must convince his wife to abandon this request. If she insists and is not content to remain married unless he complies, then it is better for him to divorce her. However, he is not obligated to do so, as the fault lies with her, and she is disobedient. The permissibility of remaining with her while she is a disbeliever is conditioned upon her being a chaste woman of the People of the Book. It is not permissible to remain with her if she is a Zoroastrian, an atheist, or unchaste, because among non-Muslim women, only chaste women from the People of the Book are permissible to marry, as Allah Almighty says: "This day [all] good foods have been made lawful for you. And the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] the chaste women from among the believers and the chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due dowries, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he is, in the Hereafter, among the losers."
