Is a soldier on duty not required to observe Friday prayer or congregational prayer?

If a soldier is guarding something belonging to the state that is feared to be at risk, such as guarding a prison or money, then Friday prayer (Jumu'ah) and congregational prayers are not obligatory for him. However, if he is not on guard duty or ill, then he must attend Friday prayer and congregational prayers like other people. A soldier is like anyone else, unless he has a legitimate excuse, such as illness, fear of going out, or being a guard over something that is feared to be at risk.
