It was previously prohibited to deal in network marketing that requires the customer to pay a subscription fee or purchase a specific commodity in order to market and receive a commission, due to the presence of (uncertainty) and gambling in it. The aspect of gambling lies in the subscriber paying the subscription or the price of the commodity in the hope of attracting customers and receiving a commission, which may or may not happen. As for permissible brokerage (samsarah), it does not require paying subscription fees or purchasing the commodity before marketing it.
