What is the ruling on women removing pubic hair with a laser at a dermatology center?

Working in female pubic hair removal is not permissible except out of necessity or dire need, such as incapacitation, because the pubic area is a severe 'awrah. Therefore, it is not permissible for a woman to allow another to view her 'awrah if she is able to remove it herself. Al-Nawawi, Ibn Qudamah, and Ibn Hajar indicated the impermissibility of entrusting pubic hair removal to anyone other than one's wife or female slave, with some detestability in the former case, or out of necessity when a wife is unavailable or when there is no substitute for shaving. Al-'Izz ibn 'Abd al-Salam mentioned that covering one's 'awrah is obligatory, and it is permissible [to uncover it] for necessities and needs, with differing conditions between the two. It is advisable to stay away from this field, especially since most of those seeking laser hair removal in clinics do not fall under the permissible exceptions, and other methods of hair removal are available that serve the purpose.
