Who are the Ten Knights in Islam?

No specific names known as "the Ten Knights in Islam" have been found, and many Companions were knights. Ibn Kathir mentioned a story in "Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah" about two men from the Muslim army who went to Damascus before its siege, where its patriarch asked them about their identity and religion. He then asked one of them to spy on the Muslims. The spy returned with a description of them as "lean men riding noble horses; at night they are monks, and by day they are knights. They fletch arrows and straighten spears, and their voices, with the Quran and dhikr, prevent their speech from being heard." The patriarch then understood that they were invincible.
