Is making a vow to donate money to the poor and needy, contingent upon success in two studies, valid, and what should its maker do for God to accept it?

The compensatory vow is valid and must be fulfilled if the condition upon which it is made is met. This is a consensus among scholars. If you specify a certain amount for charity, you are obliged to donate that amount. However, if you do not specify the amount, it is sufficient for you to donate whatever you wish that falls under the category of wealth. Nevertheless, it should be noted that this type of conditional vow is disliked and brings no good. Rather, it is a means to extract from the miser, as it does not avert anything from destiny. This vow was not made purely to seek closeness to Allah, but rather conditional upon the attainment of benefit for the one making the vow.
