Adultery is a grave sin, and its offense is even greater if committed with a married woman, due to the dishonor it brings upon her husband's honor. The adulterer must offer sincere repentance and be truthful with Allah Almighty in their desire for it. Among the matters that aid in steadfastness and persistence in repentance is marrying a woman of religious commitment and good character.
