Did the two Sheikhs narrate the hadiths of Saeed Al-Maqburi and Abu Ishaq Al-Subai'i before or after their اختلاط (confusion/mixing)?

What is reported in the two Sahih collections concerning the narrations of those with confused memory is understood to have been taken from them before their memory became confused. Al-Nawawi, in his commentary on Muslim, and Al-Kinani, in Al-Manhal Al-Rawi, clarify that the hadith of a trustworthy narrator whose memory became confused is accepted if it was taken from him before his memory became confused, and it is rejected if it was taken after or if there is doubt about the time it was taken. Among these narrators are 'Ata' ibn Al-Sa'ib and Abu Ishaq Al-Subai'i. Everything that is cited as evidence in the two Sahih collections from them is from what was taken before their memory became confused.
