Why didn't Bukhari and Muslim narrate from the Prophet's household, such as Ja'far al-Sadiq, in their Sahihs? And is it true that some of the narrators in the Two Sahihs were not entirely accurate and just?

The two Sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) narrated from a group of the Prophet's household (Ahl al-Bayt) among the Companions and the Successors, but they did not narrate from all the men of the Salaf (early Muslims). The mentioned individuals (Ismail, Imran ibn Hittan, and Mujalid) were criticized by some scholars, while others vouched for their reliability. Regarding Ismail, Ahmad, Abu Hatim, and Ibn Ma'in said about him, "There is no harm in him" and "trustworthy." Imran ibn Hittan was deemed trustworthy by Al-Ijli and Ibn Hibban, and Qatadah said about him, "He is not accused in Hadith," whereas the Khawarij do not avoid lying. As for Mujalid, Al-Bukhari and Ya'qub ibn Sufyan said about him, "He is truthful," and Al-Nasa'i deemed him trustworthy.
