Family gatherings can be transformed into a dawah (Islamic propagation) forum through the remembrance of Allah and cooperation in righteousness and piety, such as assisting with Quran memorization and studying religious books, along with a little permissible amusement. One should intend to uphold kinship ties and other good intentions, and not abandon good deeds for fear of showing off, but rather strive for sincerity and repel ostentation.
