The seller does not disclose his capital in a bargaining sale (Bay' al-Musawamah). As for a discount sale (Bay' al-Hatita), it is a sale at the original price with a known reduction from it. It is one of the trust sales (Buyu' al-) in which the price is determined by the capital, or more, or less, and in which the seller is entrusted with informing about the capital. The scenario mentioned in the question is not a discount sale, and what the questioner did is neither deception nor fraud because he accurately described the device and mentioned its defects.
