What is the ruling on renting out houses or rest areas to laborers or young people?

The basic principle is the permissibility of leasing, as it is the ownership of usufructs for a consideration. However, if the lessor knows that the purpose of renting the place is to use it for disobedience to Allah, then it is forbidden to lease it; because in that case, it is aiding in sin.
