What is the ruling on watching obscene television and video films and installing satellite dishes in homes?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
Watching television is very dangerous, and it is advised not to watch it or bring it into homes, because one part leads to another, and the soul inclines to watch strange things, and it is more dangerous than listening. As for video that records obscene films, its evil is great, and obscene films must be destroyed or something beneficial recorded over them. And satellite dishes (DISH) are even more dangerous, and one must beware of them and not bring them into homes.
