Is it permissible to give Zakat to a charity for the purpose of buying and slaughtering cows to distribute to the poor and needy on Eid day?

Zakat becomes due at its appointed time, and it is not permissible to delay it unless there is an overriding benefit for a short period. It is permissible to pay Zakat to trustworthy charitable organizations that distribute it to its rightful recipients, but it is better for the Zakat payer to distribute it himself. It is not permissible to pay Zakat to an organization for the purpose of buying cows, slaughtering them, and distributing their meat on Eid day. This is because Zakat must be given from the same type of wealth on which it was obligated. Thus, Zakat on money is given as money, because the poor person knows best what they need, and cash is more beneficial for them.
