There are authentic hadiths indicating that angels come to the believer in a beautiful form and to the disbeliever in a terrifying form at the time of death. Angels descend upon the dying person, and some witness them, and they may greet him. As for Satan coming to the dying person, there is no explicit text, but some scholars have mentioned it, and incidents involving some righteous people have occurred in this regard.
