Nafi‘ and Ibn ‘Amir recited with the raising (nominative case) of the name of Allah, while the majority recited with its lowering (genitive case), considering it as a badal (substitute) or ‘atf bayan (explicatory apposition). Abu Ja‘far agreed with Nafi‘ and Ibn ‘Amir. Khalaf and Rawh from Ya‘qub agreed with the majority, while Ruways from Ya‘qub agreed with the first group when starting and with the second group when continuing.
