It is not permissible to accept an invitation to dinner or any other gathering where one would sit at a table where alcoholic beverages are consumed, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table where wine is circulated." A Muslim residing in non-Muslim countries should preserve their identity, outwardly manifest the rituals of their religion, and invite others to it as much as possible.
