What is the ruling on using a sponge that is placed in a sheep's vagina for 14 days, then removed, and the sheep is injected with a hormone to make it willing to mate?

There is no Shar'i (Islamic legal) impediment to using the aforementioned procedure (castration) for animals if it is for a beneficial purpose, as it causes less pain than neutering. Scholars have stipulated the permissibility of castrating animals for a benefit, citing the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who sacrificed two castrated rams.
