What is the ruling on posting topics in forums titled "Register Your Daily Attendance by Mentioning the Name of Allah" or "Prayers Upon the Prophet" with the aim of reminding people to engage in remembrance and to invite them to Allah?

It is preferable in forums to limit oneself to merely reminding others to mention the name of Allah, as beginning with it is a Sunnah (definition) according to scholars. As for linking attendance registration with mentioning Allah or sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), this is disliked because it restricts and ties the remembrance to a specific reason, which could be a form of innovation (bid'ah) that one fears might lead to something greater. The Salaf (pious predecessors) used to warn against minor innovations because they often lead to major ones.

It is better to mention the virtues of the prescribed remembrances (adhkar) from the Quran or Sunnah, or to remind people to always engage in remembrance and glorification (tasbeeh). That is better in guiding people to good and directing them towards it, and it encourages them to persist in these practices without limiting them to logging in.

What has been mentioned in some forums, that this is a form of collective remembrance or taking Allah's verses in jest, is an exaggeration. This is not collective remembrance; rather, it is restricting remembrance to a reason that was not specified by the Sharia (definition), and avoiding it is more appropriate.
