Is doubt regarding the emission of pre-seminal fluid (madhy) during study, especially when looking at young men or feeling lust, considered a problem that necessitates frequent visits to the restroom? Can madhy be emitted without penile erection? Are there definitive signs of its emission? And is one rewarded for their diligence in confirming its emission?

A Muslim must beware of forbidden gazes, whether at effeminate boys with or without lust, and the basic principle is that semen (mani) or prostatic fluid (madhi) do not exit unless there is evidence thereof. Al-Nawawi described madhi as a thin, white, viscous fluid that exits upon arousal without gushing or weakening, and one might not feel its exit. Therefore, there is no need to inspect for its exit as long as there is no sensation of it exiting, and perhaps that might be from obsessive whispering (waswasa).
