What is the religious ruling on what is called the speculation stock market?

Speculative exchanges and the transactions conducted therein are not all the same. Some are permissible, while others are forbidden due to involving gharar (excessive uncertainty), gambling, and usury. It is not possible to rule on the type of speculation intended without its clarification.
