Is tracking colleagues' scores from a computer – via a website containing a "path" code and student names – considered espionage if the sole purpose is to identify the highest and lowest scores and to know their level?

It is not permissible to use any means to obtain students' grades if the school does not display them, or if the students do not wish for anyone to see them, because this constitutes spying. A severe warning has been issued against whoever eavesdrops on people's conversations while they dislike it, as stated in the prophetic Hadith: "Whoever eavesdrops on people's conversation while they dislike it or flee from it, molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection." This warning includes anyone who enters a closed house and eavesdrops on its occupants' conversations. However, this excludes those who speak openly.
