What is the ruling on informing the person on whose behalf a charity was given that a charity has been paid for them, and is it better to inform them or not?

Informing the person on whose behalf charity is given about that charity is considered an act of disclosing and showing the charity. This is permissible as long as it does not lead to corruption, such as ostentation (riya') or a sense of obligation (manna), based on the Almighty's saying: "If you disclose your charitable expenditures, it is well; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you." It is preferable to conceal it if there is no benefit in disclosing it, unless the charity is obligatory, in which case the person on whose behalf it is given must be informed to ensure the correctness of his intention.
