Is giving 'Eidiya' to children and family on Eid permissible by Sharia, or is it an innovation (Bid'ah)?

It is permissible to give 'Eidiya' (a gift of money given on Eid) to children and adults alike, and it is considered good manners and a beautiful custom, provided the following are observed:

1. Fairness in Giving: There must be fairness among children and siblings to avoid envy and hatred. 2. Varying Amounts: It is not obligatory to give the same amount to everyone; rather, age and social status (married, single) should be considered. 3. Monitoring Spending: Children should be monitored regarding how they spend their Eidiya to prevent them from frequenting forbidden places or engaging in games that involve gambling or chance.
