Did Ibn Abbas contradict the rest of the Companions regarding the recitation of verse 23 of Surat An-Nisa, "فَمَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى" (for what you have enjoyed thereby from them, for a specified term)?

Some Companions, among them Ibn Abbas, used to recite: "So for whatever you have enjoyed of them... for a specified term," by way of explanation. However, Ibn Abbas recanted his view on the permissibility of mut'ah marriage, and the matter became settled among the Sunnis that it is forbidden and abrogated until the Day of Judgment.
