Is a husband’s desertion of his wife—who refuses to have more children after they had agreed on family planning, and he then desired to have more children—correct and does it absolve him of his religious obligation?

A wife does not have the right to refuse procreation without a valid excuse, because it is a shared right between the spouses. If the husband admonishes his wife and she does not respond to his obedience in procreating, then there is no sin upon him in deserting her in bed. The wife should fear Allah and know the right of her husband over her, and realize that a righteous child is among the best blessings of Allah upon parents.
