Does the making of amulets – even if they are from the Qur’an and Sunnah – contradict the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Whoever ties on an amulet, may Allah not fulfill his wish," and is the one who makes them sinful and rejected as a suitor, and do they cause harm?

A man's writing of amulets containing Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions does not prevent him from being accepted as a suitor, because there is an old disagreement regarding the ruling on these amulets, and it is a matter of ijtihad (independent reasoning). This is alongside the importance of performing Istikhara (prayer for guidance) and entrusting the matter to Allah the Almighty to choose what is most suitable.
