What is the solution to the recurring whispers of Satan that drive one to watch forbidden things despite repentance, and cause forgetfulness of the number of Rak'ahs and inadvertence in prayer despite trying to be attentive?
Allah does not tire of a servant's repentance until the servant tires [of repenting]. The problem lies in persisting in sin, not in committing it. A believer, therefore, hastens to repent, and his misdeed grieves him. Looking at what arouses desire is forbidden, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart - all of those will be questioned about." Furthermore, attention has been drawn to the harms of watching films and how to address them, as well as the ruling on frequent doubt in prayer and what helps achieve devotion in it, and the error of supplicating for blindness upon oneself when returning to sin.
