Would the manufacturer be sinful if he produced an inferior product for a customer who insisted on buying it after being warned and having its flaws explained to him?

There is no objection to producing an inferior good for someone who requests it, provided its true nature is explained. This falls under truthfulness and clarity, through which Allah bestows blessings.
