Is it permissible to divide the zakat amount into monthly installments to be paid from the monthly salary?

Whoever possesses the minimum taxable amount (nisab) and a complete lunar year (hawl) passes thereon, Zakat becomes immediately obligatory upon him. It is not permissible to delay it without a valid excuse, and the person commits a sin by this delay. Scholars have explicitly stated that it is not permissible for the owner to keep the Zakat with him to distribute it throughout the year, except for a recognized benefit or an excuse.
