Is dismissing two out of four workers who only work a few days a month considered cutting off their livelihood or preserving trustworthiness?

The factory manager's advice to lay off surplus workers is considered part of fulfilling the trust of work, and not harming the workers. The workers' sustenance is predestined and will inevitably reach them, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If the son of Adam were to flee from his sustenance as he flees from death, his sustenance would reach him just as death reaches him." After advising by explaining the reality of the work, one may request to keep the workers or find other work for them, as an act of charity and benevolence.
