What is the ruling on working for a company that manufactures plastic products, which copies designs of products from other local or imported companies, with modifications to the dimensions or by taking part of the idea, and my job involves designing these products, specifying their dimensions, and their production molds?

The Islamic Fiqh Academy issued a resolution stating that names, addresses, trademarks, authorship, inventions, and innovations are private rights of their owners and possess considerable financial value in Islamic law. It is impermissible to infringe upon them. Furthermore, they may be disposed of and transferred for financial compensation, provided there is no harm, deception, or fraud involved. Based on this, if your company's actions are considered an infringement on the rights of product owners, then it is not permissible for you to do so, nor is it permissible for you to work with them in this regard. However, if it is not considered an infringement by custom, then there is no harm in it. The assessment of this matter should be referred to experts and specialists.
