What is the creed of Dhu al-Nun al-Misri and Imam Ibn Hibban?

Dhul-Nun al-Misri was one of the early Sufis, and their Sufism was asceticism, not superstitions and innovations. No one challenged his belief regarding the divine names and attributes. It is reported that he said the Qur'an is the uncreated word of Allah. The verses attributed to him purify Allah from place and modality (kayf), which is what al-Tahawi mentioned in his creed.

As for Ibn Hibban, some people criticized him and accused him of speaking about defining boundaries for Allah. Al-Dhahabi defended him, stating that delving into such matters is an innovation. It becomes clear that imams who use such expressions may intend a truthful meaning by them.
