What is the ruling on administering drugs to abort a living, deformed fetus in the fifth or sixth month, or assisting in such an act, with the knowledge of the specialist and the consent of the patient?

Aborting a malformed fetus is forbidden, and it is not permissible to assist in it. What is obligatory is sincere repentance to Allah, with a firm resolve not to return to such a sin. Blood money (diyah) and expiation (kaffarah) are obligatory (freeing a believing slave, and if unable, then fasting for two consecutive months) for every fetus you directly aborted yourself. As for what was done with the hospital's approval or by administering medication after the fetus's death was confirmed, there is nothing in it except repentance. If the direct abortion involved others, then each partner bears their share of the blood money and expiation.
