Is it permissible to perform Istikhara regarding a sin, and is it permissible to travel to Sharm El Sheikh for pleasure, and are the spouses sinful for traveling there?

It is known that Sharm El Sheikh is a place frequented by many tourists of different races, countries, and religions, and in it widespread are reprehensible acts. One who goes there is not safe from falling into what displeases Allah, such as unlawful gazing and witnessing reprehensible acts. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to go there, as a precaution against sins and to distance oneself from places of suspicion and accusation. Among the conditions for the permissibility of performing Istikhara is that it be for something recommended or permissible, and it has no place in matters that are obligatory, forbidden, or disliked.
