How is sincere repentance from adultery possible when there is a desire to meet the other party to check on them?

He who has committed this grave indecency, which necessitates the implementation of the legal punishment, must repent to Allah with sincere repentance, and distance himself from thinking about this woman, and occupy his heart with what Allah has made lawful for him, turning away from her.
