Does applying olive oil to the anus to treat hemorrhoids and fissures invalidate the fast?

Oiling the anus does not invalidate the fast unless it reaches inside the rectum. However, if the oil does reach inside the rectum, it is considered akin to an enema, which invalidates the fast according to the majority of scholars. Although some scholars, like Ibn Taymiyyah, held the view that the fast is not invalidated in this case.
