What is the evidence for those who say that unlawful water does not remove ritual impurity?

Water that has been unlawfully acquired, such as usurped water (maghsub), does not render purification valid according to the Hanbalis. They cite the hadith: "Whoever performs an action that is not in accordance with our matter (religion) will have it rejected." They believe that purification with such water is invalid due to the prohibition of its use.
