What is the ruling on delaying the Dhuhr prayer for the sake of what is better?

The majority of scholars hold that the time for Dhuhr prayer ends with the entry of the 'Asr prayer time. Consequently, it is permissible to delay the Dhuhr prayer if it is performed before the entry of the 'Asr time. However, it is preferable to perform it early in its prescribed time, except in cases of intense heat or cloudy weather, where delaying it is preferred, as long as it does not go beyond its stipulated time.
