What is the ruling on dealing with an elderly neighbor who is a homosexual and has caused harm to the residents of the building?

Homosexuality is a reprehensible trait that originated with the people of Lot, whom Allah punished with the severest of torments. Its ugliness and sinfulness intensify if it emanates from an old man.

One should advise a homosexual neighbor to abstain from forbidden acts, invite him to good companionship, offer him admonitions and books, and pray for his guidance.

If he remains unaffected, then one should distance oneself from him for fear of his negative influence, and seek assistance from those in authority to avert his harm if there is a concern of it.
