Is the wife's supplication that God keep a girl away from her husband and keep marriage away from her, and that He provide her with another husband, answered, knowing that she threatens to separate from her husband if he marries this girl?

A woman is not permitted to seek divorce simply because her husband marries a second wife, for Islamic law allows a man to marry up to four women. Seeking divorce without a valid reason is forbidden, and Paradise’s scent will be unlawful for the one who does so. As for supplicating that the husband not marry another woman, it is apparent that such a supplication will not be answered, because supplications are not answered if they include preventing someone from what is permissible for them. It is more appropriate for the woman to supplicate that Allah destine good for her wherever it may be, and then make her content with it.
