ما هو الطلاق البائن؟

Irrevocable divorce (talaq al-ba'in) is that after which the husband does not have the right to take back his divorced wife except with her consent and a new contract. It has several types, including:

1. A man divorcing his wife before consummation, in which case if the waiting period (iddah) is over, the right to take her back is annulled. 2. When the wife has the right to choose herself through an irrevocable divorce. 3. The third divorce, after which she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband with a valid marriage and he consummates the marriage with her. 4. The ruler divorcing the wife on behalf of the husband.
