Is it permissible to use the daff (tambourine), fire blanks, and play with weapons in equestrian shows and weddings in the presence of men, and what is the ruling on men dancing in a manner similar to the Syrian dabke?

It is permissible for women to use the duff (tambourine) at weddings, even if its sound reaches men, provided that there is no singing from them that men can hear. It is recommended to announce the marriage with the duff, and all other musical instruments are forbidden. It is permissible for men to play and dance with weapons without drums or other musical instruments, and without effeminate movements or imitating women. Worldly dancing is reprehensible, except for what has been explicitly permitted for amusement, such as on Eids and at weddings, provided that it is restricted to these occasions, and that it is in a permissible manner free from effeminate movements, imitating women, and forbidden acts such as unlawful singing or revealing awrah (private parts).
