What is the ruling on soaking very dry dates in water, and does it reach the point of intoxication if left for a long period?

Nabīdh is what is made from beverages like dates and raisins by leaving water on them, and it is called nabīdh whether it is intoxicating or not. Soaking dates alone in water is considered nabīdh. If dates are soaked in water for three days or more, or if it becomes strong (intoxicating), then drinking it becomes forbidden.
