It is permissible to hunt swine with the intention of killing it, but it is forbidden to hunt it merely for enjoyment. The scholars have stated that "it is permissible to hunt swine if the intention is to kill it, and not out of idleness. As for intending anything else, such as keeping it or displaying it, that is not permissible."
