Which is the better remembrance for relief from distress and anguish: "There is no god but Allah, the Almighty, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Noble Throne" or "There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous; there is no god but Allah, the Most High, the Almighty; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Noble Throne"?

The two ذكر (invocations/remembrances) mentioned appeared in two authentic hadiths from the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The first ذكر was narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, while the second was narrated by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya, An-Nasa'i, and others, and was authenticated by Al-Suyuti and Al-Albani. It is recommended to combine both ذكرs. However, if a Muslim wishes to limit himself to only one of them, the first is better due to its higher degree of authenticity and because it encompasses the meaning of the second.
