Bread must be respected and honored, and not subjected to any form of degradation, such as trampling it underfoot or throwing it into refuse, as this constitutes a disregard for a blessing. As for one who accidentally treads on bread without intending to degrade it, there is no blame upon him, for Allah Almighty says: "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake."
