Is it permissible to delay the assumption of ihram for Hajj until Jeddah for someone arriving by plane?

Mistakes some pilgrims make regarding Ihram:

1. Failing to enter into Ihram from the Miqat for those who pass over it. They must enter into Ihram immediately upon reaching its parallel, otherwise a fidyah (expiation) becomes obligatory.

2. Believing that one must enter into Ihram with sandals. The correct view is that it is not obligatory to enter into Ihram with them, and it is permissible to wear them after entering into Ihram.

3. Assuming that the Ihram garments must remain on and cannot be changed. The correct view is that it is permissible to change them, with or without a reason, as long as the new garments are permissible.

4. Practicing idtiba’ (uncovering the right shoulder) from the beginning of Ihram until partial release from Ihram (tahallul). The correct view is that idtiba’ is only for the tawaf of arrival (Tawaf al-Qudum).

5. Believing that two rak’ahs of prayer are obligatory upon entering into Ihram. The correct view is that there is no specific prayer for Ihram; rather, one enters into Ihram after performing ghusl (ritual bath) and wearing the Ihram garments.
