Is it permissible to divide the Witr prayer such that two rak'ahs are prayed after 'Ishā', then two rak'ahs after an hour, and then one rak'ah is prayed as Witr?

The Witr prayer is a prayer performed between the 'Isha prayer and the rising of dawn, concluding the night prayer. It is prayed as an odd number of rak'ahs (one, three, or more). It is part of the night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl and Tahajjud). Its time begins after the 'Isha prayer and ends at the rising of dawn. "The night prayer is two by two, and if one of you fears the dawn, he should pray one rak'ah, which will make odd what he has already prayed." It is not a condition for the night prayer to be continuous.
