What should the questioner do about his theft of tires and a jack, which he used in his father's car, knowing that his father is elderly and cannot verify the replacement of the tires, and that there are other stolen items that he does not remember well because he was drunk?

Sincere repentance from theft is not complete except by returning the money to its owners, according to the hadith: "On the hand is what it took until it returns it." The thief must return what he took or its value to its owners. If he does not know them, he should give it as charity on their behalf, with the intention of informing them if he becomes able. If he is ignorant of the amount stolen, he should make an effort to return what he believes most likely clears his conscience. The stolen item should be returned if it exists; if it is destroyed, its equivalent should be guaranteed, based on its value on the day it was stolen.
